The Answers to the 5th Bible Quiz at Squirrel's Island!

I know you all think I made this stuff up, and I lie about god. Well here you go gentle reader, the verses in the bible that show you and prove to you that the Squirrel does not lie!!

 

1. Were trees created before, or after man was created?

Correct answer: D. (A and B) We read in Gen 1:11-12 that the trees were created first and then in Gen 1:26-27 man was created.

Yet when we read Gen 2:4-9 that man was created before the trees were.

2. Was God pleased with his creation?

Correct answer: D. (A and B.): When we read Gen 1:31 God was pleased with his creation. But when one reads Gen 6:5-6 we learn that God was not pleased with his creation. (Never mind that an omniscient deity could experience displeasure.)

3. Does God sow discord, or hate those that sow discord?

Correct answer: D. (All of the above.) According to Gen 11:7-9 God caused the confusion and discord among the people, yet in Proverbs 6:16-19, God hates the person that sows discord. All this in mind, in 1 Cor 4:33 Paul says that God is not the author of confusion.

4. How did the armies of Pharaoh pursue the Hebrews?

Correct answer: B. (On undead horses.) We read in Exodus 9:3-6 that God has killed all the cattle including horses among the Egyptians. Then again the people and cattle are inflicted with boils in Exodus 9:9-11 (even though the cattle are already dead) Then all the first born of the cattle is killed again in Exodus 12:12,29. After all this, undead horses chase after the Hebrews in Exodus 14:9

5. Should you observe the sabbath?

Correct answer: C. (Well Paul said you could decide for yourself going against God and Jesus.) No work is to be done on the Sabbath, nothing. This is a permanent law, punishable by death we read this in Exodus 20:8-11, 31:15-17, 35:1-3. But after Jesus and his disciple get caught picking food on the Sabbath he says that the Sabbath is made for the man, and not man for the Sabbath. This is in Mark 2:27-28. But then again Paul says in Romans 14:5 and Colossians 2:14-16 that you should decide for yourself whether or not to observe.

6. Should we make vows unto the Lord?

Correct answer: C. (A and B.) In Numbers 30:2God enjoins making vows. But we read in Matthew 5:33-37 That Jesus forbids it, claiming that they arise form evil or the devil.

7. Who captured Debir?

Correct answer: D. (A and B) We read in Joshua 10:38-40 that Joshua himself captures Debir. But in Judges 1:11-15 we learn that Othniel took debir, thereby winning the hand of Caleb's daughter, Achsah.

8. How many troops did Moses take to destroy the Midianite people?

Correct Answer: A. (12,000) In Numbers 31:5 we read that Moses took 1,000 troops from each tribe of Israel.

9. How did Judas die?

Correct answer: D. (All of the above.) We read in Matthew 27:5 that Judas hung himself. In Acts 1:18 we read that Judas falls and bursts open, spilling his insides upon the ground. But, according to Paul, Jesus appeared to the 12 after his resurrection. Mark 14:20 makes it clear that Judas in one of the twelve. Also Jesus told all twelve disciple including Judas, that they sit on the twelve thrones in judgement against the tweleve tribes in Matthew 19:28.

10. Jesus preaches against mutilating yourself.

Correct answer: B.(false) We read in Matthew 5:29-30 to cut off offensive body parts. Also in Matthew 19:12, we are told by Jesus to cut off our penis.
