The Answers to the 4th Bible Quiz at Squirrel's Island!
I know you all think I made this stuff up, and I lie about
god. Well here you go gentle reader, the verses in the bible
that show you and prove to you that the Squirrel does not lie!!
1. Should we steal?
Correct answer: D. (Both A and C) " Thou shalt not steal."
(Exodus 20:15). "Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour,
neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide
with thee all night until the morning."(Leviticus 19:13).
BUT when we read what good old god tells his children: "....and
ye shall spoil the Egyptians." ( Exodus 3:22) and "
And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses;
and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels
of gold, and raiment:
36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians,
so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And
they spoiled the Egyptians.(Exodus 12:35-36). Well now, should
we or should we not?
2. Are we saved by faith or by works?
Correct answer: D. (A and B.): " For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of
God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph 2:8-9)
and " Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no
flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge
of sin." (Romans 3:20, 28) and "Knowing that a man
is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of
Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we
might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works
of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
(Galations 2:16) But when we read the following verses: "
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by
faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works,
when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out
another way?" (James 2:24,25) and " And, behold, one
came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I
do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is
none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into
life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder,
Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt
not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy
neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept
from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell
that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure
in heaven: and come and follow me." (Matt 12:16-21).
3. Who was the father of Joseph?
Correct answer: D. (A and B.) " And Jacob begat Joseph
the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ."
(Matt 1:16) BUT when we read "23 And Jesus himself began
to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the
son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli," (Luke 3:23)
Problem?
4. What is the proper punishment for a young maiden that
is not a virgin on her marriage night?
Correct answer: B. (Death) " But if this thing be true,
and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's
house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that
she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the
whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from
among you." (Deuteronomy 22:20-21)
5. Is religious persecution a godly thing?
Correct answer: D. (Yes) " If thou shalt hear say in one of
thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell
there, saying,
13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among
you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying,
Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
14 Then shalt thou inquire, and make search, and ask diligently;
and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such
abomination is wrought among you;
15 Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with
the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is
therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst
of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and
all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and
it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again."
(Deuteronomy 13:12-16)

were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men;

the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived,
and stood up on his feet." (II Kings 13:21)

Correct answer: D. (A and B) - "AND Again the anger of
the Lord was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against
them to say, Go, Number Israel and Judah." (2 Samuel 24:1)
BUT this says: "AND Satan stood up against Israel and provoked
David to number Israel." (1 Chronicles 21:1)

and nothing shall be impossible unto you." (Matt. 17:20,
21:21; Mark 11:2) " 6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith
as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine
tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in
the sea; and it should obey you." (Luke 17:6) "12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these
shall he do; because I go unto my Father." (John 14:12)

Correct answer: B.(false) " And if thy right eye offend
thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable
for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it
from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members

hell."; " For there are some eunuchs, which were so
born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which
